"To practice acupuncture without knowing channels is like working at night without a candle, or sailing without navigation."

YOU CAN SELECT from any one, or any combination of the following treatment styles, at no increase in the charge. They're described below, so you can get an idea of treatment options available for you at this clinic:

* Mind/Brain Enhancement for Students
Nurtures mental clarity and focus without resorting to a 'body-mind split.' Acupuncture relieves Qi stagnation, calms and settles the spirit/mind. Safe, gentle, healthy herbal supplements foster intelligence without creating dependency or side-effects. Charge is flexible and affordable for students.

* Tung's Method
Dr. Tung Ching Chang kindly passed on to us this 300 year family tradition from Shandong, China region. Many acupuncturists in America are now learning this method which we have received through the kindness of Wangden and Palden Carson, Miriam Lee and Esther Su, american acupuncturists.

* Esoteric Acupuncture
"Esoteric Acupuncture is designed to assist the client to raise her level of consciousness, and specifically to open and activate the various higher levels of the Heart and Head Centers." (Mikio Sankey, Lic. Ac.)

* Classical Acupuncture
This is a versatile approach to acupuncture which includes treatment by the 8-extraordinary vessels, divergent channels, source/luo vessel strategies, back shu and front mu points, meeting points, and more. Special traditions in classical acupuncture are handed down in asian families or from teacher to student. People who just love acupuncture and want to get the best it has to offer them often choose classical style.

* Pediatric Acupuncture
Simple acupuncture gently and caringly applied for treating common childhood conditions. Specialty: treatment at threshold of puberty to relieve anxiety and stress due to beginning hormonal changes.

"...We worry about tendencies of the body rather than extreme symptoms, predominantly because the more chronic and far gone an imbalance, the more difficult it becomes to correct. When imbalances are detected early, however, they are easier to correct and prevent from going into a chronic state."
--Radha Thambirajah, Lic. Ac. (UK)

* Ear Acupuncture
This is acupuncture of the many points on the ear auricle, which are a microsystem for the whole body. Regular needles, spinex intradermal (smaller), or even seeds taped to points are part of this method. Ear acupuncture can include a kind of diagnosis by close inspection of marks or tiny lumps at specific points on the ear, such as the ovary point. It is an ancient asian acupuncture method mostly from China. It is similar but not the same thing as auriculotherapy, a european branch of this style.

* TCM
Traditional Chinese Medicine-style of acupuncture is primarily treatment by chinese herbal medicine, with simple adjunctive acupuncture. The usual approach is basic simple body acupuncture of 6 to 8 points. This method is especially useful for conditions related to the periods such as PMS, infertility, preparation for pregnancy.

* Still Acupuncture
This is treatment primarily along the back and cerebrospinal system with the intention of reducing tensions and promoting drainages so the nerves, lymph and blood circulation around the vertebra may be normalized as much as possible. Andrew Taylor Still was the american originator of osteopathy, which focussed on this treatment concept though it did not use the acupuncture method. 'Still acupuncture' can be helpful as general care to maintain excellent health and prevent trends toward future problems due to pressures along the spine.

* Spiritual Development Acupuncture

"Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death."
--Anais Nin

Spirit within us does not need development -- but our response to its quickening impulse can always benefit from support and encouragement.
The process of our personal evolution normally occurs of itself, with spontaneity -- Acupuncture can help remove obstacles, promote circulation of Qi and support the will (Zhi).
May run in series of 12 weekly treatments.
